Reverse linkage development through member countries cooperation.

In the panel Reverse linkage development through member countries, Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia Mr. Julang Pujianto and Alternate Governor of the IsDB in Suriname Mr. Anwar Lalmohamed participated as panelist and Trustbank Amamah Chief Commercial Officer Mr. Rick Soedamah acted as moderator.

First of all the meaning of Reverse Linkage was explained. In addition, both panel members explained the best practices through presentations. Ambassador Mr. Julang Pujianto elaborated on the various Reverse Linkage activities of Indonesia together with the IsDB group.

Based on the success of the said program and the official request from the Government of Suriname, in 2016, the Government of Indonesia designed a program called:

The Reverse Linkage Project between Indonesia and Suriname on Artificial Insemination of Livestock.

The goals of the project are:

  • To strengthen the existing service center for artificial insemination as the livestock breeding station;
  • To build the institutional capacity of relevant agencies to develop the Artificial Insemination system;
  • To foster and strengthen the Artificial Insemination supply chain.

Ambassador Anwar Lalmohamed presented an extensive explanation of the various Reverse Linkage projects in Suriname during his presentation. Reverse Linkage (RL) is an improvement of international technical cooperation programmes and an advancement of the Technical Cooperation Programme of the IsDB

Currently there are 4 projects in Suriname in various phases of execution:

  • Rice (Malaysia)
  • Livestock (Indonesia)
  • Air Traffic Control (Turkey)
  • Halal Ecosystem (Malaysia)
